Karuizawa | English Camp 4 Days for beginners

From "learning English" to "living in English."

Many children study English but don't have opportunities to use it, and find themselves at a loss for words when it matters most. CAMPSHIP ACADEMY's English camp is a four-day program designed to help them bridge that gap and master English as their own language.

The stage for summer 2026 is Rising Field Karuizawa, one of Japan's premier outdoor sites, located at an elevation of 1,200m. With a magnificent view of Mount Asama, vast campsites, and the invigorating scent of the forest, it offers a "true extraordinary experience" reminiscent of summer camps in North America and Europe.

The primary goal of this camp is to provide an "immersive English experience" that classroom learning simply cannot offer. Children will hear natural phrases spoken by native English-speaking staff and be prompted to express themselves in English during activities. The experience of speaking English with courage, being understood, and receiving a smile in return—these accumulated successes of "getting through!" will lower psychological barriers to English and build children's confidence.

This year, participants will also challenge themselves on the authentic athletic course within the field. In situations requiring a thrilling climb or a courageous step forward, English phrases like "You can do it!" and "This way!" will naturally be exchanged as children encourage and cooperate with each other. English learned through such emotionally engaging and physically immersive experiences becomes not just knowledge, but "a lifelong skill" deeply etched with fond memories.

Following last year's successful three-day program, this year's camp has been extended to four days. While three days help children "get accustomed" to an English environment, four days allow them to truly experience the joy of "thinking and communicating in English." This program fosters growth and independence, offering more than just a memorable experience.
