This program is a three-day, two-night camp packed with experiences such as fishing, art, and mochi pounding, set in the rural woodland of Nagusa, Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture.
Nagusa is a place where Campship Academy began its involvement after a certain encounter in 2024. Despite facing social issues such as an aging population and labor shortages, we hit it off with the local people who are trying to preserve and pass on the good old traditions and customs of the Satoyama area, and have since built a relationship through cleanup activities and programs.
This easy-to-participate, three-day, two-night trip is recommended for those who want to experience spring in nature. While offering a wide range of experiences, we also value "free time" for free play.
Nagusa is a place where the mountains, rivers, and fields are closely connected, and where the scenery of old Japanese satoyama remains, where people's lives coexist with nature.
Through experiences such as making a fire, fishing, and cooking their own meals, children come face to face with the mountains and rivers, come into contact with nature with their whole body, experience culture through daily life, and develop a sense of independence and cooperation with their peers.
The concept of this independence camp is to foster self-esteem through new challenges, as well as to value the "balance between independence and cooperation" that comes from living together with peers.
With the cooperation of local people, we created handmade items that connect people and offer experiences that can only be had in spring.
