Why did you decide to include your child in an overnight nature experience?
At home, I sometimes end up being spoiled and having to be woken up, have my clothes brought out, or have trouble concentrating on my meal, so I have to be the last one to eat.
I thought that in order for my child to become able to think and act for himself, it would be best to send him to an environment where he would have to do things on his own, so I looked for a program during spring break that would give him experiences that his parents could not give him.
This season, my family has been to ski resorts many times, so I thought that my son would enjoy attending a ski event, so I signed him up.
Why did you choose Campship Academy?
I decided to go with them because I had a fun experience attending a family day camp event held at Jiyu Gakuen last fall with a friend, and because I received a quick response to my question via their official LINE account. I picked out several ski camp organizations and compared their past reviews and customer service to find a tour that would fit my friend's schedule.
What kind of conversation did you have with your child when they first joined?
We talked about how excited we were to be able to ski, which is our specialty, for four days, and to be able to see the frost-covered trees that we saw on a DVD in an illustrated book when we were in kindergarten !
I had no worries when I set off. I had been skiing before, so I was excited to pack everything I needed.
How did your child do after the program ended?
When they returned, they looked confident, with a smile on their face, as if to say, "I'm tired, but I've done my best!", so I was relieved.
They didn't even mind the incident on the first day when the Shinkansen train was stopped due to strong winds.
Please tell us if there are any aspects of Campship Academy that you feel are uniquely good.
The organizers were very cheerful and the group leaders were very reliable. When the Shinkansen train was significantly delayed, they quickly switched to buses and responded to parents via LINE, which left a good impression on me.
