The second program in the summer of 2024 was held in Nasu! A four-day, three-night camp themed on art and sports was held at the National Nasu Koshi Youth Nature Center.
At the meeting point, some participants looked anxious and few smiles were seen, but as soon as they got on the bus, their smiles increased and they seemed to be opening up to the other campers and leaders. On the first day, they did ice-breaking activities and orienteering, deepening their bonds as a team. Campship's original leadership award was also introduced in the Nasu program. Participants who made particularly great contributions to the team are presented with a commemorative badge.

The second day was the Campship Sports Day, and there was a large 400m track right next to the youth center.
Using this large field, the children were divided into three teams and engaged in heated battles. They participated in events such as tag-a-tail, a quiz, a long rope game, and a relay race where everyone ran together. It was moving to see the teamwork and consideration shown by the older children, as well as the attitude of everyone working together to achieve something, which is only possible at a camp where children of different ages are involved. A cheering squad was also formed, with some children saying that they might not be good at playing sports at their best, but that they could cheer better than anyone else!

After sweating a lot, everyone loved playing in the water. They even splashed water on the leader without mercy. Both participants and leaders had big smiles on their faces while playing in the water.

The campfire, which couldn't be held outside due to the rain, was held in the facility's indoor campfire area. Everyone sang along to the leader's guitar accompaniment. After the camp was over, the campers came up with the idea of holding a sort of dance party where they could dance along to their favorite songs. Campship is always ready to answer any camper's requests for things they want to do! They ensured safety and everyone danced to their heart's content.

This was Campship's first camp to incorporate art content. On the third day, everyone worked together to complete a piece of art with the help of Atelier Mado in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. In addition, each camper's individuality shone through as they drew pictures using wooden pens they had made themselves, resulting in one-of-a-kind works.

Everyone gathered in the outdoor area to see the finished paintings. When their pieces connected with the other campers' pieces to form a large picture, some children frantically tried to find their own pieces, while others were impressed by the large paintings. They all enjoyed appreciating the paintings in various ways. We also took a group photo.

The leaders of the 2024 Nasu Camp supported the Nasu program and demonstrated outstanding teamwork. As a team, they not only ensured the safety and health of the children, but also provided them with fun and excitement. And Osuzu, the photographer who took such wonderful photos, was loved by both participants and leaders.

On the last day, enjoy the ropeway, soft serve ice cream, and souvenirs!
There was plenty to enjoy for the participants, who were full of energy and enjoyed themselves until the very end.
The children were surprised by how shaky the ropeway was. The weather was perfect that day, and the view from the summit station was amazing. The lunch they had at the summit station was also a fond memory for the children.

I hope that the colorful four days in Nasu will become a precious memory for all the campers. I look forward to seeing you again on the camp ship.
