What kind of being should we be?
Come to the program For all participants, this summer is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that cannot be replaced by anything else. What can we deliver to the children who will be spending this precious time with us ?
In fact, just the other day, before the start of the summer program, we spent half a day discussing what kind of existence a campship should have . We exchanged opinions with the staff, and the following comments were made:
" We want the campship to be a second home for the children, a place they want to return to in the summer. 』
"It's important to have fun, but I also want it to be a place where people can experience a variety of emotions , such as loneliness and sometimes bitterness."
"It's not a school, it's not a home. I want it to be a place where children can be themselves ."
"It's not a set trip. We want to be a camp that offers a certain amount of space and a playful, handmade experience ."
"I want people to know that there are people with different ways of thinking and backgrounds than they do. I want this to be a place where people can have the successful experience of building friendships."
" A place where leaders can have fun like children . And children can I want Campship to be a place where people can enjoy nature to the fullest.
A variety of opinions were expressed.

<The Beginning of Campship>
Going back a little, Two years ago, as a parent, I was struggling with how to spend my children's summer vacation. I wanted them to have experiences they could only have now, in nature with friends. At the same time, in a world where heatstroke warnings are constantly sounding, children often spend the whole day in air-conditioned spaces. While feeling frustrated as a parent, my own past experiences led me to believe that summer camps, which are more common in Europe and the United States, should be more prevalent in Japan.
Through summer camps, By learning about diversity, you can learn that it's okay to be diverse yourself. Knowing this, you can live confidently and be yourself. The happiness that comes from delving into various interests, and the successful experience of making friends and having fun in a completely new environment . I wanted to create a place that provides children with formative experiences that will help them grow, even if it means going through some difficult times. Campship Academy was born after many such conversations with my co-founder, Tom . I think each child will have different feelings about it, but I hope that Campship will become a special place that they will want to return to for the children who are participating this time.
<Finally>
Summer is about to begin. For all children, this summer will be their first and last, a time that will never come again . It is also an irreplaceable time for growth, and a summer drama in which children play the leading roles .
We are truly grateful that you have entrusted your precious children with us for a few precious days, and together with our leaders we will create an experience that can only be had now. And all of our leaders and staff will have just as much fun as the children!
Please look forward to the summer stories that will unfold over the next 40 days!!!
