Hello! I'm Tom Akagi, the representative of Campship Academy.
Today, May 19th, is Campship Academy's founding anniversary. Today marks the company's second anniversary.
Today, on our second anniversary, we spent our days going about our daily lives as usual, almost forgetting that it was also our founding anniversary.
The organizing team traveled to Yatsugatake to test out kayaking, one of the highlights of this year's summer camp! In stark contrast to the rainy weather in Tokyo, the spring weather in Yatsugatake was beautiful with fresh greenery and clear air, making for perfect weather.

It really started from nothing
Two years before Campship Academy, it was a service that didn't even exist and had never even held a program.
In the notes from an internal meeting two years ago, there was a homework assignment to "set up Instagram"...
At the time, he started with zero followers on Instagram, and as of today, he has 4,236 followers.
At the time, there was not even a single leader, which is essential for running the program, but now there are over 100 registered members.
The number of customers who have registered as members of Campship Academy has reached approximately 1,000.
I don't know if these numbers are impressive, but I feel deeply moved and happy that I have been able to get this far through the accumulation of my daily activities.
What we value
There are a few things that we have valued since the very first day we started our business. These may all seem obvious, but we have always been committed to "doing the obvious things in an obvious way."
First, keep asking yourself, "Whose problem are you solving and what problem are you solving?"
we,
Whose problem: Busy parents who both work What problem: Not giving their children enough experiences
To solve this problem, we have planned "nature experiences" that are lacking among children today, providing opportunities to develop children's curiosity, investigative skills, independence, and cooperation.
Anyway, I have been stubbornly and persistently asking the following questions and repeatedly verifying the results.
- Do these issues really exist?
- Are these issues deep enough to justify spending money on them?
- Will our service solve the problem?
- What do customers actually value?
- Can we provide nature experiences for children?
Everything we have done so far has been aimed at answering these questions. We obtained a travel license, rebuilt our website from scratch, worked hard to educate our leaders, and responded to customer inquiries as quickly as possible, etc.
Second, "Make a list of all the issues and problems that arise and make sure to resolve them before the next meeting."
We have made every effort to make improvements based on the honest feedback we receive from parents when the class meets and disperses, survey results, customer interviews, and the honest opinions of children.
Within the company, we have a list of tasks called KPT, and as of today, there are 436 tasks accumulated.
K: Keep
P: Problem (to improve)
T: Try (to try next time)

Third, "We, the operators, do things that excite us and that we find truly enjoyable."
When running a company, it is easy to be driven by the pursuit of sales and profits.
Of course, that is important, but we have created programs by honestly considering not only "what our customers want" but also "what we want to do and what we think we should do."
This culture has been passed down to the leaders who support the program.
The source of competition at Campship Academy is a culture in which all leaders are proactive and "think and act for themselves," an attitude of actively drawing out what children want to do, flat human relationships that are not influenced by age or experience, and an awareness that they should enjoy themselves above all else and be the main players in creating programs rather than just working behind the scenes.
Looking back, I think I was most fortunate to have met such wonderful leaders during the highly uncertain start-up period. I'm grateful to all the leaders I've met so far! Thank you!
And what makes Campship Academy so proud is that it offers programs created by the best leaders.
The worldview we aim for
We at Campship Academy are revolutionizing nature experiences in Japan.
As the coolest kids' camp brand in Japan, we aim to make camping away from home a truly enjoyable experience for children, a place where they can acquire important values in life and develop their character.
For parents who send their children to camp, we will also create a world where the "intrinsic value of sending your child to camp" is relatively increased by having a trustworthy management system, energetic and experienced leaders, and a system that allows transparent access to the information they need.
We hope that this change in awareness will eventually spread to school education, and that nature experience activities like ours will become one of the core elements of school education in today's education system, where ``exploratory ability'' and ``experience'' are highly valued.
Our initiative, which is still in its infancy, is a very responsible service that involves entrusting children's lives to us.
We will continue to strive to improve our services every day, never forgetting our determination and original intentions.
We look forward to your continued support of Campship Academy!
