Why did you decide to include your child in an overnight nature experience?
I wanted my daughter to have the experience of skiing, but her younger brother is still young, so it would be difficult for us to go as a family, so we decided to have her participate in an overnight program.
Also, both parents are working during the winter break from December 20th to 28th, so the only option is for my child to go to after-school care, but I wanted my child to have an experience beyond that which comes with being at after-school care, which is what prompted me to consider it.
Why did you choose Campship Academy?
Communication with the organizers beforehand was very smooth, and when I asked if I could be placed in the same group and room as a friend who was also considering participating, they agreed, which was a big help. It was my first time staying away from my parents for three nights, so I was a little nervous, but their quick response was the deciding factor.
Also, the program we participated in involved traveling by Shinkansen to a location close to the site, but we chose this option because we thought it would be less stressful on the children's bodies even if it was a faraway location.
How did your child do after the program ended?
Anyway, he said, "It was fun!"
Skiing seemed quite difficult for them, and they told us a lot about their plans for the evening, spending time with friends in their room, and having oshiruko (sweet red bean soup) time.
The leaders all seemed to talk to me in a friendly manner, which helped me to become friends with my new friends in the same group.
