Hello, this is Tom Akagi, the representative.
Campship Academy is celebrating its second anniversary this month. Starting from nothing, this initiative has grown little by little by accumulating what needed to be done step by step.
Then, at the end of April, the long-awaited renewal of our website was successfully completed, and we are now making fresh preparations for our summer programs.
This time, I would like to introduce the thoughts behind the revamp of our website, which is the first point of contact with Campship Academy for many people.
"Let's create the coolest kids' camp in Japan"
Since the beginning, the management team has had a motto: " Let's create the coolest kids' camp in Japan ."
The definition of cool varies among the management team, but one thing they all have in common is that it conveys a cool worldview at a glance.
The children's serious gazes, the colorful scenery of nature, the drama behind their smiles and tears - every moment is irreplaceable for the children who participate, but the parents who send them off cannot be there to witness these moments.
That is why the content we post on our website and social media must convey our philosophy and thoughts.
Preparations for the website renewal began last summer.
There is a reason why we waited about two years after launching Campship Academy before creating a proper website: it took time to gather enough materials and content to fully convey our worldview.
So for the first two years after launch, we used a simple website I created using a no-code tool.
Over the past two years, we have invested heavily in taking photos and videos of the program, hiring professional photographers to capture incredible footage.
A symbol of this is the image of lush green nature that first appears when you open the new homepage.
This footage was taken during a program in Yatsugatake last summer.
When you are the one delivering the experience, it is inevitable to pack the schedule too tightly, leaving children with fewer opportunities to think and make their own decisions.
Our program values space and encourages students to take action on their own, and I believe that the video we have created exudes that Campship Academy spirit.
Key points in the website renewal
When revamping the website, we focused on four points.
- A design that exudes the camp ship vibe
- Putting our goals into words
- Information design that makes it easy for customers to access the information they need
- A path to complete your application without stress
Because we are taking responsibility for the lives of children, we must be able to provide clear answers to parents' questions such as, "Can I trust this program? Can I leave my child with them without worry?"
A by-product of the website renewal
The website revamp took about eight months from the start of the project to its release. During that time, while revising the text to be published on each page, we had the opportunity to reexamine the question, "What is Campship Academy's unique style?"
The catchphrases on the homepage, "Growing through experience" and "Experiences you can only have now," were born during this process.
Putting into words the ideas we hold dear and communicating them to our customers in easy-to-understand terms, this may seem like a simple task but is actually quite difficult, and it was a great achievement to be able to accomplish this through the event of renewing our website.
The homepage is something that grows
The new homepage is designed to allow for the uploading of a variety of content, including the founder's blog.
Our website, which serves as an entry point for Campship Academy, will continue to evolve in order to spread awareness of our activities and our aspirations, as well as the voices of parents, and to make the existence of Campship Academy more widely known.
As we continue to add content, we will stop and check our current position from time to time, and develop our website in line with the evolution and growth of our service.
lastly
Through the activities of Campship Academy, we hope to change the image of kids' camps in Japan and provide children with an irreplaceable experience.
Thank you for your continued support!
